Lass un gehen!

I must say, German is proving a lot harder to learn than I thought. I picked up Spanish sufficiently well enough to hold a conversation in the language while I was in Costa Rica. I even picked up Korean well enough to order in a restaurant and communciate back and forth with the server last summer. But, after two months of using Rosetta Stone and the great Pons guide I received from the Goethe Institut, I still am not comfortable speaking even a little German. Maybe I should have used my borrowed copy of German for Dummies a lot more! We got our itenerary two weeks ago and I was thrilled to see that we were scheduled to visit Strasbourg, France for a day. While I am most excited about learning about Germany's sustainable urbanization and environmental education, visiting the cathedral in Strasbourg is running a close second. Maybe I should stop struggling with German and instead brush off my high school and college French. Strasbourg is right on the Franco- German border, so they speak both languages there. And check out this castle we will be staying in for two days while in Germany! http://www.schloss-boitzenburg.de/schloss/schlosshotel.html I've visited castles before, but never stayed in one, and I am all about new experiences, so I can't wait!
